Album Artwork for Burning Symmetry - Imperfections
I did this album design quite a while ago but haven’t posted anything about it until now. I really enjoyed the organic approach I took with this piece. I dug out my parents’ old vinyls and photographed their scratchy wear-and-tear texture. I wanted a very natural feel to the rest of the artwork, so I used acrylic paints on printer paper to draw the light bulb then scanned them to get that tonal variation of the lines. When working on projects like this, spending hours hunched over at my computer desk can make for a miserable experience, so it’s nice to step away for a while and experiment with some hands-on mediums and find natural resources to incorporate in my works. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
